We are excited to welcome Lexy Martinez as our new IPS Executive Director as of September 13, 2021!
Lexy is an occupational therapist by education and training, and recently, the CEO of her family managing three young girls along with her husband, Steve. Her professional and personal experiences make her a perfect fit for leading our preschool and our staff.
Lexy and her family moved to Islesboro from Maryland this summer and are excited to make it their home. Steve has taken a teaching position at Islesboro Central School, so we’re all very lucky to have them join us. Of course, for Lexy it’s more of a homecoming, as she previously lived here while growing up!
We’re thrilled to have Lexy, Steve and their girls as part of our island community, and to have Lexy join our IPS family.
IPS will re-start for the 2021-2022 academic year on Tues, September 7. All registrations were due previously and our classes are currently full most days, but please direct any inquiries to Nancy Wuori until Lexy has officially started on September 13.
