We are excited to welcome our new director and lead pre-K teacher for the Islesboro Preschool, Hannah Joule Wayda. She and her daughter, Kaylee, have relocated to Islesboro from Massachusetts, returning home to the state where she grew up.

Hannah started with us last week and with the recent departure of Alex Wilbur, she is quickly getting up to speed. Alex and the IPS staff have been integral in getting Hannah off on the right foot with her responsibilities and we sincerely thank them for that support.
Hannah joins us from a long tenure with the Riverview School in Sandwich, Massachusetts where she worked in a residential setting to support and coach individuals with disabilities, providing invaluable skills training.
She also studied elementary education at Wheelock College in Boston, and will work closely with our staff on our Maine Roads to Quality training and certifications.
We are thrilled to have Hannah on our team and leading the IPS, in partnership with Jen Bailey who is our infant/toddler teacher and assistant director. We expect to soon add to our staff with additional teacher support, especially for our infant and toddler class, to complement the current part-time support we have from Ginny Drew.
Please be sure to welcome Hannah, either by catching her in person or sending her a note. She can be reached at hannah@islesboropreschool.org.
