The Islesboro Preschool (IPS) recognizes each child as an individual with their own set of life experiences. Every child is encouraged to explore, observe, experiment, and discover through direct, concrete interaction with the environment. Children are given activities to challenge and to increase their developmental skills. Our students are accepted for where they are in all stages of development and are ncouraged to develop at their own rate. Character development is fostered in all areas to build caring, honest, respectful, and responsible individuals.

At the Islesboro Preschool we strive to adapt to the changing needs of families and the education landscape. We are commited to partnering with families as we continue to learn what works and what doesn’t. We are dependent on each other to give our children the experience they need and deserve, and we will stay in close communication as we begin this journey together.

Families will be asked to sign a daily sign-in sheet, and to read, understand, and abide by our policies and procedures.
